The Braille Authority of North America (BANA) will hold its 2025 fall meeting in Boston, MA, on October 22 through 24. This meeting will be hosted by National Braille Press (NBP), a BANA member organization.
The BANA meeting will take place at Northeastern University in the Curry Student Center, which is located at 360 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02115. On Wednesday, October 22, and Thursday, October 23, the meeting will be held from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On Friday, October 24, BANA will meet from 9:00 AM till noon.
Items on the Board’s fall agenda include a review of formal reports from BANA’s technical committees, such as Nemeth, Braille Formats, and Tactile Graphics, as well as its general committees and task forces, such as the General Committee on UEB, and the General Committee on Electronic Braille. BANA members will act on recommendations and will issue committee charges when appropriate.
This semi-annual face-to-face meeting follows BANA’s spring meeting, which was hosted by the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER) in Austin, TX.
