The Braille Authority of North America (BANA), which meets face-to-face semiannually, will hold its 2018 spring meeting April 9-11 in Los Angeles, California. All meetings will be at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott Hotel, 5855 West Century Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90045. This meeting will be hosted by the Alternate Text Production Center of the California Community Colleges (ATPC) and will immediately precede the 59th annual conference of the California Transcribers and Educators for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CTEBVI).

Items on the Board's agenda include updates of BANA's numerous ongoing projects. The Board will review formal reports from all of BANA's technical committees such as music braille, mathematics, and tactile graphics and will take action on recommendations when appropriate.

As always, interested parties are invited to observe BANA Board meetings. If you are interested in observing the upcoming meeting, please contact BANA Chair Jennifer Dunnam at 612-767-5658 or by email at chair@brailleauthority.org.

The mission of the Braille Authority of North America is to assure literacy for tactile readers through the standardization of braille and/or tactile graphics.
