BANA to Hold 2022 Fall Meeting November 14–16 in Baltimore, MD

The Braille Authority of North America (BANA), which convenes semiannually, will hold its 2022 fall meeting November 14–16 in person in Baltimore, MD. The meeting will be hosted by the National Federation of the Blind (NFB), a BANA member organization.

BANA meetings will convene at NFB’s Jernigan Institute, which is located at 200 E Wells Street, Baltimore, MD 21230. The reception desk is on the 4th floor of the Institute.

Items on the Board’s agenda include a review of formal reports from BANA's technical committees such as music, Nemeth, and chemistry, and tactile graphics, as well as its general committees and task forces, such as the BANA General Committee on UEB and the BANA Publications Committee. The Board will act on recommendations and will issue committee charges when appropriate.

The mission of the Braille Authority of North America is to assure literacy for tactile readers through the standardization of braille and/or tactile graphics.
